Frequently Asked Questions

Made To Order vs. Ready To Ship

Made To Order:

If an item is listed as ‘made to order’ this means that the item is only made once you make your purchase. This statement will be listed in the item name as “MTO” and at the top of the item description in all caps.

Processing time is typically between 2-6 weeks (this may vary depending on a range of factors) to accommodate for demand and because each item is handmade.

If an item is made to order, there may be slight differences compared to the product photos because crystal sizes, textures, and colors vary. No two items will look exactly the same. However, it will always be made with love and attention to detail.

Ready To Ship:

If an item is listed as ‘ready to ship’ (or if it does not say ‘made to order/MTO’) this means that the item has already been made and will ship on the next available shipping day, typically 2-10 business days after purchase.

I ship via USPS and UPS, and I schedule package pickups 1-2 times per week depending on pickup availability.

Processing Times

Processing times are estimated and cannot be guaranteed.

(Processing time refers to the time I require to make and prepare a package for shipment.)

Processing time for Made to Order items is estimated 2-6 weeks.
Processing time for Ready to Ship items is estimated 2-10 business days.

If your order includes both ready to ship and made to order items, your processing time will be within the made to order time frame.

Why are processing times estimated?

My shop functions within scheduled shop updates, which means I have 1-2 days per month in which new and popular items are released for purchase. This limited window of time to purchase means that I can sometimes receive up to or more than 100 orders in a single day.

As an independent artist, I make every single item by hand, and each item takes time to make and package.

I do my very best and I work very hard to get your items to you as fast as I can, but this is a craft that takes time and attention to detail.

If in the rare instance I become sick or injured, this may also affect the timeline. Please remember I am human and I am a one woman business.

If your address changes before your item is shipped, it is your responsibility to email us with your updated address. We cannot be held responsible if your package is lost or is shipped to the address you provided and you no longer live there.

Please read the item descriptions very carefully before purchasing a preorder, custom, or mystery item. They take a long time to make by hand and are in high demand, resulting in long wait times. Purchase with thought and care, and email us if you have any questions about the process.

Refunds:

(Applicable to “ready to ship” and “made to order” items.)

You are eligible for a refund if you request one before the item has shipped and you receive a tracking number. Please reach out via the Contact form on this website to request a refund.

Damaged/Delayed/Lost Items:

Once it has shipped, I am no longer responsible for the package. If there are damages or delays in transit, or if the package is lost, there is unfortunately nothing I can do about this and you cannot receive a refund. You will need to reach out to the post office independently to inquire on its status or to file the appropriate paperwork.

Packages are thoroughly wrapped in protective layers and we take every precaution with them. I am an independent artist and this is a small business, not a large corporation. I cannot remake/resend/refund items automatically like Amazon can, due to my work’s handmade nature, the cost of materials, and the time it takes to make them.

Custom Orders

Custom orders are priced accordingly and cannot be returned or refunded. I will communicate with you throughout the consultation process to ensure you are receiving your dream creation.

If you choose the Mystery option (meaning you want to be surprised by the item you receive and do not want photos before I ship it out to you) then you are agreeing to receive a surprise item that I make based on information and preferences you provide, and created using my interpretation of that information and my skills and designer aesthetic.

Custom orders cannot be altered after purchase unless you would like to switch items before production has begun (this is only applicable to items offered within the custom order page, and the item must match or exceed the price of your original item. Payment for any excess amount will be processed via PayPal or Venmo.)

Switching of custom items is not guaranteed and final approval is at the discretion of the artist.

Please note that you cannot request an item that is not already available on the custom order page. Materials and production timelines have been organized and planned specifically for the items offered on the custom order page.

Please do your own due diligence and review the item photos and descriptions to be sure it is the perfect piece for you. Always read item descriptions before purchasing! Please feel free to ask questions via the contact form on the Contact page if you are unsure about an item or if you have follow up questions.

Monitors and Phone Screens

Please note that different monitors and screens can affect the color of photos, and actual colors or textures may vary.

Wearing Crystal Jewelry

Crystals vary in both size and weight. Some crowns will be lighter or heavier than others. If you suffer from migraines or a very sensitive head, I suggest a tiara or elven circlet for your comfort. If you have a custom order and would prefer a lighter crown, please request shorter or thinner crystals, or less crystals overall.

Keep in mind that you are essentially wearing rocks on your head. I make every effort to make my items comfortable to wear, but keep in mind the materials used to create them.

Store your crystal jewelry in a cool, dry place. Avoid displaying in direct sunlight. My advice is to not go swimming while wearing crystal items, but they can be worn under water for events or photoshoots.

Hair pins can be used to add stability to your headband if desired. I use standard sized headbands suitable for adults and teens. If you are purchasing for a child, I recommend a lightweight tiara, comb, or small forehead circlet. My crystal crown work is not recommended for children younger than 10 years old. Purchase at your own discretion and keep your child’s safety in mind.

I cannot be held responsible for any mishaps, injuries, or allergic reactions that occur if you outfit yourself, your child, or anyone you know with my jewelry. As with any jewelry and accessories, wear at your own risk.

If you have thin silky hair, I suggest using hair pins for stability or using the crown or tiara with an up-do hairstyle to help keep it anchored.

I make my items as strong as possible to withstand rough handling or accidental falls, but please be aware that these are handmade pieces of art and should be treated gently and with care. Crystals can break and wire is prone to bending with enough force, so please love and protect them.

I am not responsible for any allergic reactions that may occur from contact with my work. Materials are often listed in the item description but do not always contain specific material contents such as nickel, copper, etc… If you have any allergies, please do your own due diligence and reach out to me to confirm what items are made of, or out of an abundance of caution do not buy until you know for sure. Purchase at your own risk.

What is Roxy’s Closet?

Roxy’s Closet is a new offering on our site and aims to provide unique thrifted, lightly used, or recycled costumes and casual wear items to distinguished Fae. Items listed in this section of the shop will be unique finds from Roxy’s travels, or items from Roxy’s personal collection that no longer fit or have rarely been worn. Possible products can include costumes, casual fantasy appropriate clothing items, pin up or vintage attire, or clothing accessories such as scarfs, belts, shoes, hats, etc…

Various sizes in thrifted finds will be made available to be as size inclusive as possible. Items from my personal collection can often range from US size 12-16.

The items I find and choose to include here will be chosen based on aesthetic, materials, time period in which it was made, and overall construction.

All items will be cleaned to the best of my ability before they are photographed and packaged. If any damage or staining exists on an item but does not affect the overall value of the item, this will be stated in the item description so you are fully aware of what you are receiving.

Please note that not all thrifted goods come with tags.
